Tournaments

June 7-8	Bondurant (Lady Jays Fastpitch Tournament ) - 1st PLACE!
Went 3-0 in pool play - only gave up runs to one opponent (5 runs to Bondurant) - and won our pool! This put us as the #1 seed in the Gold bracket for the Sunday games. The games on Sunday were cancelled due to rain.

May 30-June 1	West Des Moines (24th Annual WDMGSA Invitational) - 4th PLACE! (We were given 4th place medals, but the USSSA website says we got 3rd PLACE)
Went 3-1 in pool play - only gave up runs to one opponent (3 runs to WDM Black) - and won our pool! This put us in the "A" bracket for Sunday. Won a great game against Ankeny Maroon on Sunday, and then lost to Ankeny Gold. Finished 4th place out of 16 teams. Good softball and beautiful weather!

May 23-25	Urbandale (Memorial Day Gauntlet)
Went 2-1 in pool play, putting us in the 'A' bracket for Sunday's games. On Sunday, went 1-1, finishing 5th place out of 12 teams.

May 16-18	Waukee (Warrior Annual Classic)
In pool play, we went 2-1, which put us as 3rd seed in the Gold Bracket. We lost both our games on Sunday and wound up 4th in the tournament. Of the games we lost, they were all very close with losing by 1 or 2 runs.

May 10-11	Winterset (SURVIVOR 6)
In pool play, we went 1-1. In the third pool play game, we were tied with 2 players on base when the lightning and heavy rains started and the game was called. The tourney director flipped a coin to decide who got the win, and we won the coin flip. That put us in the gold bracket, seeded #3. Lost a close game 5-4 in the semi-finals.

April 26-27	Ankeny (In The Game Sports Sluggers Fest)
We were short a few players on Saturday. Went 2-3, losing in the semi-finals on Sunday. The 3 losses were all close games - no more than 4 runs were given up to any opponent. Lots of good hits, good plays and good pitching this weekend!
