After
a rough start Saturday morning, the girls lost a close
one to Johnston Purple and then beat Indianola Indians.
In Bracket Play on Sunday, we beat Johnston White 15-1
to reach the finals for a rematch against Indianola.
After getting down early 3-0, our girls rallied back.
It was tied 4-4 as we went to bat in the bottom of the
5th. The girls scored a run to win 5-4 taking first
place in the Silver Bracket. It was a great way to end
the season. The girls played great on Sunday! The coaches
and parents are extremely proud of the girls and how
much they have improved over the season!

Our
girls went 3-0 in pool play on Saturday. Kaitlyn M.
pitched a 3-0 shut-out against DC-G, with Ashley T.
getting a key hit to give Waukee a couple insurance
runs late in the game. Cassie S. and Kaitlyn combined
to pitch a great game against Winterset. With the score
tied 3-3, 2 outs and time running out, Danielle M. came
through with a big hit to drive in Mackenzie N. to end
the game. The last pool game was played in the cold
and rain with Waukee getting a 10-0 victory against
the MAC. On Sunday bracket play, we lost a close rematch
against Winterset, 4-2. The coaches are extremely pleased
and proud with the play of the girls in going 3-1 for
the weekend.

Waukee
went 1-2 with a 15-6 victory over Indianola. This was
the first ASA tournament for all of the girls.
